Barclays launch awareness campaign on financial fraud
Barclays has launched a new £10m nationwide drive to increase the public’s awareness of financial fraud risks.
The latest crime figures show 5.6m fraud and cyber offences in the UK making up half of all recorded crime, and costing the UK £11bn. New Barclays research reveals that 25 per cent of people in the UK have experienced a cyber-fraud or scam in the past three years.
A new feature on Barclays Mobile Banking app lets customers to instantly turn ‘off’ their card to prevent online purchases. The app can also be used to set daily ATM withdrawal limits.
